Reduce or rather abolish:
cigarette smoke
Alcohol
sugary/carbonated drinks
coffee
fatty foods

tomato and its derivatives
onion
lemon
mint
Avoid overly plentiful meals
Eat calmly
Wait at least 3 hours after meals before bedtime (or to unwind)
Sleeping with your head raised:
using an extra pillow or placing a pillow under the mattress
Rest at least 6-7 hours a night
Perform physical activity
